Abstract
Dental implant has become as a very important treatment option in dental field and the needs are growing explosively. But unfortunately, all patients are not candidate for implant treatment. Especially if he is a man who has poor bone conditions, surgical options are greatly restricted. So the quality and quantity of bone is most important factors when selecting the cases. The quality and quantity of bone influencing to the implant during surgical procedure and even after it is inserted. Lack of bone makes difficult to install the implant itself. After extraction of teeth, new bone is forming and filling the defect of extraction socket and the degree of filling bone is differed by the surrounding condition such as the inflammation. Usually clinicians use various methods for control the defect. Bone graft, separation of alveolar bone, narrow implant, and use other site for implants are the methods for overcome the difficulties. Grafted bone is work as scaffold of bone growth and for the success graft, the ability of bone making is important. Various types of bone are used for graft, autogenous, allogenic bone, xenogenic bone, alloplastic graft materials are them. And they are used by clinicians by their favor. Grafted bone must have good ability for bone regeneration and has no inflammatory effect, convenient to use and reasonable price. Recently alloplastic graft materials are increasing to use instead of using allograft or xenograft which has cross infection. And ingredients of calcium are the main contents of those materials. These kinds of materials have advantages of chief process and can get plentiful amount, but have disadvantage of lack of bone making ability and problems related to the resorption. In this study nano-sized calcium is used and this material evokes little inflammation and little remnants when grafted. So we use this for conform the ability of bone formation.
